When Transom contacted me to tell me that my piece was one of the 12 selected, out of over 300 submissions from all over the world, to be part of their new Small, Random, and Meaningful collection, my first reaction was, this must be a mistake, it cannot be that my bombastic tale was going to make the cut.
Luckily, I was proved wrong. So, ready to listen? Brace yourself, imagine that you are entering a circus, but instead of clowns and illusionists, you’ll find: abuse by the hand of librarians, thunders, revenge, dark nights, betrayal, tax fraud (just a little bit), more thunders, Berlin in the ’80s, translations, revenge, cautionary tales and triumph.
Make sure to listen until the very end!
Thank you Transom.org, it feels great to be part of your family of fantastic producers.
*Every library in my life (welcome to my circus) was also awarded a Special Mention at the Australian Black Snapper International Film Festival (Audio section). Happy, glad and thankful.
