I had the honour and pleasure of having an article published in Sound Sorceresses, a small but important publication, edited by Rachel Hanson, that talks about podcasts, giving a voice to women in front of, behind, and around the microphone.
Why should anyone care? discusses my experience as an English-as-a-second-language podcaster. It explores my creative process, which often involves examining small details and objects to avoid confronting raw emotions.
I also discuss the challenges of linguistic choices, feeling a sense of displacement as an expat, and being part of a broader community of English-as-a-second-language podcasters who use the medium to express themselves creatively and share their stories, challenging dominant narratives and fostering a sense of belonging.
