I am indigenous Sardinian. An island with unreliable, expensive connections - and a language that for generations people were told not to speak. That insularity pushed me to travel early, searching for an otherness I sensed existed but couldn't see at home. I lived ten years in Germany and over twenty in Australia before relocating back.
Moving through countries, cultures, and languages - Italian, German, English - I became intrigued by the relationship between memory and place: how memories shape every new place we arrive in, how language carries what geography can't. From there, I started exploring how sound shapes memories, space, and sense of belonging.
I was lucky to be in the right place: working at a national radio broadcaster (SBS Radio) in an English-speaking country (Australia) at the right moment (when people started talking about podcasts), which gave me room to experiment with immersive sound narratives and what they can evoke, personally and collectively.
Now Supervising Producer at FBI Radio's All The Best and independent practitioner, when I'm not playing the hustle game I collaborate with fellow creators worldwide, teach audio production at conservatory and university level, co-founded Giardinetti, a space for Italian producers to experiment with short-form audio, and occasionally close loops, like making my first piece entirely in Sardinian, which won the Golden Prize at HearSay International Audio Festival 2026.
