It's always a pleasure being part of Stuart Fowkes' projects. Cities and Memory is a sonic snapshot into reality as perceived and reimagined by all sonic enthusiasts who contribute their elaboration of sound.
My piece, in the Sounds from Italy, Volume 2 collection, is called Sound of empty, and was inspired by a post-pandemic, beautiful Venice.
In the notes to the piece I wrote:
"I worked on subtractions, using my recent experience in Piazza San Marco to bring together a past that seems now almost retro-futuristic, with a present that no science fiction could have ever imagined."
Take the time to listen also to the other pieces created by talented artists. Exploring Italy, one sound at the time.
